Designer Q&A
Where were you born and raised?
Born in Laconia, New Hampshire and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia
How did you get started in the industry?
I have been a graphic designer and artist for over 20 years, and I have always had a passion for architecture and interior design. I was hired at Lowes as a kitchen designer in 2018. Working in a high-volume store was extremely stressful but I stuck it out because I loved designing kitchens. Fast forward to the present and I am living the dream at McCabinet.
What is your favorite part about design work?
Everything! Designing is my passion.
Which room is your favorite to design?
I feel the kitchen is the heart of a home and it is my favorite to design.
Describe a project you’ve done that you are most proud of and why?
I can’t think of any one project, but I do feel proud to be doing this work when my jobs are completed, and my customers are happy.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I love being part of a team of fun and talented designers that support me every day.
What is your personal design style?
I love color, clean lines, simplicity and functionality. My favorite look is mid-century modern.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I am pretty good at cutting my own hair.
Do you have any pets?
Not right now. We recently lost our beautiful dog Lola.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
Being out in nature, planting flowers in my yard and riding bikes with my husband Joe.

Ocean or lake? I love the beach.
Cold or hot weather? I prefer cooler weather…LOL
Sweet or salty? Salty first sweet after.
Extrovert or introvert? I am a little of both.
Favorite local hangout? The Bier Boutique in St Pete
Favorite food? Pizza and Beer
Favorite color? Green
Favorite sport or team? I like to watch Tennis and Pickleball
