Where were you born and raised?
Queens, NY
How long have you worked in the industry?
I’ve been in the design and construction industries for the last 13 years, with some time on the business side and some time on the design side.
How did you get started in the industry?
I started by assisting interior designers who were looking to expand their small businesses.
What is your favorite part about design work?
Finding the perfect combination of form and function that stands the test of time
Which room is your favorite to design?
Don’t make me choose. I love it all.
Describe a project you’ve done that you are most proud of and why?
During COVID, I was working for a large scale event design company, so we went through lots of heartbreak with our clients who were forced to postpone their biggest and most exciting life events. Our team decided to temporarily pivot our skills from designing spaces for others, to teaching others how to incorporate these design elements into their daily lives. We created a virtual design studio, where we would host weekly livestreamed design classes with people across the country who subscribed to receive our beautifully curated design kits, including fresh cut flowers. Logistically, it was one of the most challenging undertakings of my career. I’m so proud of the creativity and determination we brought to a seemingly impossible situation, because we were able to keep connecting with people using design in a way we had never considered before.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I love the moment when clients get to see their new design for the first time. If I can hear some “oohs” and “aahs” after revealing a rendering, I’m the happiest person on earth.
What is your personal design style?
Eclectic & colorful, but thoughtfully coordinated
What are some design elements you love when customers add-in?
I love personal touches. Whether form or function is your focus, I want to make sure your space includes elements that make it feel like it’s truly built for you. Let’s talk about cabinet accessories!
Do you have any hidden talents?
I’m a great swimmer.
Do you have any pets?
I have 2 kitties, and I love everyone’s dog as if they are my own.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
Beach in the morning, music in the evening, lots of laughter mixed in
